In
August 2000 the ethnic Chambers of Commerce and Associations of Nashville,
Greater Nashville Black Chamber of Commerce, TN Hispanic Chamber of
Commerce, African Chamber of Commerce, the Native American Indian
Association, the Buddhist Temple, Asian American Association, met to
organize the Nashville Multi-Cultural Partnership, Inc. hereafter referred
to as the NMCP, Inc.

NMCP, Inc. is established as an economic and community extension of ethnic
chambers and associations. The NMCP, Inc., is an initiative sought to
create a mechanism by which members, African American, Asian American,
Hispanic American, the Buddhist, Native American Indian entrepreneurs, could
form joint ventures and strategic alliances among their respective
businesses within the Middle Tennessee area.
